The Reflector – Issue 3
Year in Review of Los Angeles, Miami, and New York

LOS ANGELES
By Andy Bernard

The past year saw organized crime in Los Angeles thrive. The city known as La La Land would host one of the year’s most powerful crime families. Six leaders would attempt to run the city at various times during the year to try and operate a successful family. The city would start the year without a crime family.

The Black Bottom Crew was responsible for the first crime family that emerged in Los Angeles for the year. Capo Chambers received authorization to move his sub-crew to Los Angeles and so he left Detroit to build a small family. The new Los Angeles leader would soon become a victim in the war with the Chicago Outfit. Chambers met his fate after Black Bottom Crew leaders in Las Vegas, Denver, Miami, and Detroit had been taken out. The Chicago Outfit Made Man, Anthony Macaluso, met Chambers in Atlanta and the two exchanged gunfire. Having just successfully dueled Chicago Made Man, Dewmeistro, the fight was too much for the Los Angeles Capo to handle and Anthony killed him. The death of Chambers meant every leader of the Black Bottom Crew except Don Bruinsma in New York had been taken out. Los Angeles no longer hosted a crime family.

The Chicago Outfit would soon expand its operations to Los Angeles following the death of Chambers. Rocket, coming from Chicago, announced to the country that La Stidda Mafia would be controlling all criminal activities in Los Angeles. Rocket quickly gained support and soon had one of the larger families in the country. Rocket showed an example of the type of powerful reign he would have early on, when he and his family eliminated the remaining crime family from Detroit. When the Chicago Outfit fell with the death of Billy Bad Ass, La Stidda Mafia truly grew into a formidable powerhouse all on its own. Having various alliances with the majority of crime families in the country, La Stidda Mafia experienced continued success. The family fended off threats both in family and out, eliminating families from every city except Miami during its reign. In total, it is believed La Stidda Mafia was responsible for removing ten leaders from power. La Stidda Mafia would eventually expand to have families in Las Vegas, Denver, and Dallas. With these projects underway, Don Rocket and Don Carmine Sanito decided to retire to the old country. La Stidda Mafia was effectively disbanded with the retirements, each family going their own way.

With Rocket retired, Sab took over the city of Los Angeles. He inherited a small family as some members of the family left to join TP or xREVx. Sab’s reign in Los Angeles would be short as Muppets Construction Inc. grew in power after Rocket’s retirement. When New York Consigliere Kush fought TP in Chicago, Sab felt a duty to fight since Los Angeles and Las Vegas still had a strong alliance. He flew to Chicago and met Kush in the city streets as Kush looked over TP’s dead body. Kush survived Sab’s attack and killed the Los Angeles leader. With Boss Sab dead, Los Angeles was without a crime family for the first time since before Rocket’s reign started months before.

With the knowledge that there was money to be made at the horse track in Los Angeles, xREVx moved his Denver operation to the city he used to call home. As the remaining family on the West Coast, xREVx ran a large family. More conflicts broke out with the families from New York and Detroit and soon Los Angeles was under attack. It is believed Don xREVx was in the old country when the attack happened and his family was quickly taken out. xREVx lost ownership of his safe house during that period and upon returning to the country, he met with the Police Captain for protection. This marked the official end of xREVx’s run as leader of the Los Angeles family.

Rocket decided to fly back to the United States after hearing about the outcomes of the various wars where his former family was taken out. Rocket attempted to start his family again when he realized kin of the fallen members of the West families were still loyal to him. Rocket soon proclaimed himself as a Street Boss while he waited to buy a new safe house for the family. Shortly after agreeing to purchase a safe house and declaring himself to be back as Don, Detroit Capo Angelo Cerrano posed as a citizen in Los Angeles and shot at the newly proclaimed Los Angeles leader nearly fatally wounding him. Not being able to fire back, Rocket caught a train to Las Vegas. Shortly after arriving, Detroit Capo Red Rabbit met the Los Angeles Don and fired his gun fatally wounding Rocket. With Rocket dead, La Stidda Mafia died with him though tags are still worn by some in remembrance of the family’s legacy.

xREVx still lurked amongst citizens and soon attacked Bosses Dirk Struan and Gaetano Gagliano of the Detroit crime family, killing both and in the process showing himself as a hoodlum after the first kill. The former Don of Los Angeles then travelled to Las Vegas where he tried to get to a safe house. Detroit Goomba Massimiliano Pantella met xREVx in Las Vegas and fired shots at him as he tried to get to his safe house. After wounding xREVx on multiple occasions, the former leader of Los Angeles gave up on getting to the safe house only minutes away from safety to turn around and fight. The chase had gone on long enough for New York Made Woman Sugar and Capo Ombladon to join the fray and shoot at xREVx. Bullets flew all over the place with bodyguards dropping on both sides until Ombladon fatally wounded xREVx.

Ciro was later authorized to start a crime family in the City of Angels. His crime syndicate would be known as Le Mano Nera. Operating a small outfit, Ciro would rule with a heavy hand by announcing that people would need to pay to enter his city and there would be restrictions on the businesses people could own. The old saying that a few bad apples spoil the whole bunch held true for Le Mano Nera. It is believed a conflict arose with the Freemasons and the Kempeitai over Los Angeles members going rogue. Aureliano decided to take action and went to Los Angeles and killed Boss Ciro. With Ciro’s death, Le Mano Nera was finished and Los Angeles no longer hosted a crime family.

Dizzy, a Boss from Miami soon sought authorization to create a crime family in Los Angeles. There was confusion when Dizzy purchased his safe house regarding whether Dizzy was authorized to start a family, but that problem quickly was resolved and Il Legato was officially formed. Following the pattern of families in Atlanta and Denver, Los Angeles would attempt to be a city where citizens, thugs, and hoodlums would be able to live freely without facing grief from mobsters looking to harm them. Boss Dizzy would be in charge of Los Angeles as the year came to an end.

MIAMI
By Angela Martin

The Magic City saw one of the longest reigns from a crime family over the year. It is believed that five people ran the city of Miami at one time during the period. The city where cocaine can be often purchased at cheap rates started the year with no presence of organized crime. The city would soon be part of the Black Bottom Crew’s expansion project.

Made Man Thrush was given authorization to run the city of Miami. With few thugs and hoodlums around the country, Thrush ran a small operation. Though hopes were high for the expansion, Thrush’s reign in Miami would be a short one. After the Chicago Outfit had conflicts with leaders from Las Vegas and Denver, the Miami leader was soon targeted. Dallas leader Needles Kane went to the same city as the Miami leader and shot and killed him. With Thrush’s death, the Black Bottom Crew’s expansion into Miami had failed.

A partnership from the Chicago Outfit got authorization to set up a crime family soon after the war. Freakin Pizza purchased a safe house and with John Henry started the Everglade Trust. The crime syndicate grew in support and throughout its reign, kept a respectable sized family. The family attempted to leave a mark on the city by at one time announcing that it would pay people to own active businesses in its city. The Miami leaders led the steady family to continued success as members of the family increased in rank. A disgruntled Capo in the family, known by many as Zi Frog, soon attempted a coup on her boss as he slept. Boss John Henry, being nearby heard the gunfire and soon was face to face with the Capo who had gone rogue. She killed the Miami Boss and then took a trip out of the city. Capo Matthew McClennan followed her and the two exchanged gunfire with each dying of their wounds.

Shortly after recovering from the coup attempt, Boss Bobby Blackout left Miami as he was granted authorization to start a crime family in New York. With Freakin Pizza now solely at the helm of the Everglade Trust, the family developed more internal conflicts. Members of the family were unhappy with Freakin Pizza’s leadership and soon Capo Dick Stroker fought the Miami Consigliere. Freakin Pizza survived the attack but soon faced more adversity as a conflict with New York caused Bobby Blackout to take action on the Miami leader. The two leaders met in the same city after it is believed Dick Dastardly shot at Freakin Pizza. Bobby Blackout fatally wounded his former boss which would end the long reign of the Everglade Trust.

Miami soon found a new leader in Dayton Fall as he was authorized by the Commission at the time to start a crime family. The new crime family would be known as the Fall Consortium but would later be known as the Miami Consortium. With hostility still surrounding him, the Miami Consortium would run a small operation as to not draw any extra attention to itself. The old hostility towards the Miami leader was soon acted upon as CC met Dayton in Miami. The two exchanged gunfire until Dayton flew out of Miami to let his Capo, Joey Panama, fight and kill the Atlanta Boss. Upon landing in Dallas Dayton fought Las Vegas leader London Fella. The two exchanged gunfire with bodyguards dying on both sides until Dayton was locked up in the Dallas jail. While locked away, Miami Consortium members were almost all eliminated as it fought members from the Las Vegas, Atlanta, and New York crime families. Many members of the families got themselves locked away to attempt to shank the leader of Miami with each failing in their attempt. Dayton would soon be released from jail and met with the Police Captain. This officially ended Dayton’s reign in Miami and also ended the attempt by many to take his life.

Miami would be without organized crime for roughly a month until a familiar face moved his operation to the city. Jack Carter, who took over the Detroit crime family decided to move back to the city he lived in when he was part of the Everglade Trust. Jack ran a small operation and worked hard enough to be promoted to Boss by the Godfather. The family stayed out of the war that eliminated Muppets Construction Inc. allowing the family to increase in rank. Dizzy would soon leave Miami to start his own family across the country in Los Angeles. Soon after that, it is believed Tony Al took over Miami as Jack Carter would join Ronin in Las Vegas. Miami heads into the New Year with a consistent crime family.

NEW YORK
By Kevin Malone

New York’s demand for cocaine often brings in interest from criminal organizations and it is believed seven different people tried to take the city for their own during the past year. During that time, the Big Apple did not make its usual large impact on the country until Bobby Blackout took leadership. The year started with the downfall of the leader of the Appleseeders. With Joey Cusack’s death, Mr. 1105 took over as leader of New York. Mr. 1105’s reign as leader of the Appleseeders would be fairly short. Conflicts with the Black Bottom Crew and the Chicago Outfit forced the Chicago family to take up arms. Billy Bad Ass met Mr. 1105 and the Chicago leader killed him. With the death of the New York leader and his members, the Appleseeders reign of running New York was over.

New York would not be without a crime family for long as Don Bruinsma would start a family after coming from the Black Bottom Crew. The family was only established for a short period when the Black Bottom Crew and the Chicago Outfit went to war. It is believed New York members were randomly shooting members of the Chicago Outfit which sparked a conflict with the two families. Billy Bad Ass met the New York leader and the two squared off firing their guns. Bodyguards dropped on both sides with Billy Bad Ass coming out victorious. With Don Bruinsma’s death, every leader representing the Black Bottom Crew had been taken out. New York no longer had any presence of organized crime operating in its city.

The next crime family to set up a criminal organization in New York was lead by Silvio DeSantis. His reign would start a long time after the death of Capo Don Bruinsma as a Street Crew failed in an attempt to take the city before Silvio set up. The family, consisting mainly of people with the last name, DeSantis, started the operation with a moderately sized family. Known as Mobsters Covenant of Valiance, things started off well for the family as Silvio left his mark on New York. Silvio would make a rule that any mobster that wanted to run a business would have to pay him to start it along with having to show the blueprints for the business. He would also build the Appleseed Rectory where citizens, thugs, and hoodlums that were interested in joining the crime family would have to visit. Things started well for the crime family until a conflict arose with La Stidda Mafia. It is believed Rocket and the rest of La Stidda Mafia took out the new crime family when information incriminating the Mobsters Covenant of Valiance arose. Silvio DeSantis awoke to news that most of his family had been taken out and soon died with them. Even in his dying breath, Silvio and kin from the fallen family members claimed that the family was set up. It is believed afterwards that the incriminating evidence was found to be falsified. With the downfall of the Mobsters Covenant of Valiance, there was no longer a crime family operating in New York.

Dayton Fall was the next mobster to attempt to start a crime family in New York. Dayton purchased a safe house in the city and was planning to start a family when he had a conflict with La Stidda Mafia. La Stidda Mafia attacked his strongest allies in Black Mafia Vegas and Dayton soon found himself involved in the war. Dayton abandoned his safe house and met the Police Captain for protection as plans were being made to defend the attack. With failed attempts to combat La Stidda Mafia, Dayton’s plan to run a crime family in New York was over.

The next attempt to run the city of New York came from Bobby Blackout who was a Boss in the Everglade Trust. He was given authorization and bought a headquarters in the city where he would operate Muppets Construction Inc. Gaining a large support early on, the New York family was quickly one of the one of the most powerful families in the country. Once mobsters from Detroit and the New York took out the families from the West Coast, Muppets Construction Inc. became the strongest family in the country. Having a large family, Bobby left his mark on the city by locking it down so very few people would be allowed in that were not aligned with the family. Muppets Construction Inc. would expand into Atlanta, Las Vegas, and Dallas but faced conflicts early on. A situation occurred with a Detroit Made Man being killed, which resulted in an attempted hit on leader of Miami, Dayton Fall. After the hit was unsuccessful which cost many New York members their lives, Detroit and New York would never have as strong of an alliance as the Commission failed at that point.

Soon after, Detroit members Angelo Cerrano and Everglade would attempt unsuccessfully to eliminate Muppets Construction Inc. as Detroit went into decline. It is believed Angelo was told he would not be able rejoin the life of crime without being killed after the Pharmacist was taken out, which prompted the attacks. New York would be weakened by these attempts losing several members but would recover to expand into Atlanta a second time. With many highly ranked criminals aligned with New York, Muppets Construction Inc. still seemed to be the most powerful family in the country. In late October, Muppets Construction Inc. would be attacked by Chicago and Las Vegas. The two families aligned to take on Muppets Construction Inc. after word was passed on that New York was planning a hit on Las Vegas. When Bobby came out of his safe house, he was informed that the leaders in Dallas and Atlanta had already been taken out along with many other family members. Bobby, upon realizing this went to Dallas and took out as many people as he could before fighting Aureliano. The two would exchange gunfire with each seeing their bodyguards die. Bobby would end up locking eyes with Aureliano firing first nearly fatally wounding the Chicago leader. Aureliano would shoot Bobby back in self defense hitting him directly in the heart which fatally wounded the New York Don. With the rest of New York falling soon after to Chicago and Las Vegas, Muppets Construction Inc.’s reign as the most powerful family in the country was over and there was no longer a crime family representing New York.

New York would witness one final attempt to set up a crime family during the year. Aureliano authorized Capo Hollywood to purchase a safe house and start a New York chapter of the Freemasons. Hollywood’s promotion faced criticism from people who didn’t think he was a good fit for the city. Hollywood’s reign would not last long as a conflict with Luca Tassotti would spell Hollywood’s death. Surviving the attack when the Freemasons took out Los Angeles and Denver, Luca Tassotti shot and killed the new leader of New York while Luca was under the protection of the Police Captain. Luca would be unsuccessful in his attempt to eliminate the Chicago leader as Aureliano killed him when the Police Captain could no longer protect him. New York would go into the New Year without any crime family operating in its city.

MESSAGE FROM THE EDITOR

An error occurred in the last Issue of the Reflector, where it was reported that Cyrus Virus was killed by Rocket. The end of the war between La Stidda Mafia and Black Mafia Vegas ended when Los Angeles Boss Devon Debonair fought and killed the Las Vegas Consigliere. The Reflector apologizes for this error.

I would also like to thank every single person who helped with sharing information to make the information provided as accurate as possible. A year that saw roughly 60 leaders attempt to take power may cause some facts to be vague or lost.
