Throughout the nation’s history in popular gaming, there have been many noticeable landmarks. the creation of the lottery, the introduction of blackjack, the criminal connections between slot machine payouts and dirty money wars and the favourite of the populace; the racing industry. With the first edition of Gaming, we welcome you to an insight into a newly formed sensation sweeping the country, Texas Hold-Em Poker
This series of press publications seek to review on a regular basis all gaming industry standards. I hope it is useful as it is enjoyable. The publications will assist those unfamiliar with gaming options and how money is made from them.
Taking The Nation By Storm – ‘The Back Rooms’
After a brisk visit to ‘The Back Rooms’, I can see why members from all over the country are flurrying with their money to take part in a newly developed sport/game, ‘Texas Hold Em’ Poker. On one visit, I had seen millions of dollars exchange hands with cashiers and players alike. What is so interesting about the newly formed method of gambling is that is requires more than luck and a speculative thought to take part. Indeed a game in which you need as much skill as a baseball player and as much gut to hold your nerve and ‘poker face’ I caught up with venue designer Massimiliano Pantella
JB - What are ‘The Back Room’s?
MP - Simply Jackie, a classy place where men and women from all different backgrounds can come with their money and play poker against other members for theirs.
JB - The gaming industry has had this sort of thing before has it not? It didn’t really take off, what makes you think it will be a success?
MP - The fact that I have over 50 members and counting Jackie. The fact that the place speaks for itself when you walk in there and see people playing cards. The fact that on Sunday there will be a 10 Million Dollar Poker Tournament with over 20 seats available, the winner will take away 10 Million Dollars. I don’t know any Industry in the gaming sector that has started off with such success. I acknowledge it humbly.
JB - So how does it work? Why would people part with their money?
MP - Because they can make money from this game, just like racing. Only playing it smart at ‘The Back Rooms’ can net you a few million in the space of an hour. I act as a cashier along with a few other associates of mine. UncleSam is also a primary stake holder and manager of the Venue. You can cash in with say 250,000 of your cash and if you won a million dollars, you can take it and withdraw it from me at anytime. It’s a simple process, I believe that’s why it is also successful. If you have an accident or die..your next of kin can collect your account money. What a great investment in your family’s long term future in America.
JB - What kind of games can players expect from the venue?
MP - Like I said, tournaments. There is a 20million dollar tournament in the venue scheduled already. Soon there will be a 50 million dollar tournament. There are Sit N Go’s there- players can play in tables of ten or a table of three, too many to describe, it’s quite something when there is a full house
JB - What do you say to the people that called you a scam artist when you first tried to host the venue. You got ridiculed?
MP – It’s not something I want to talk about. I’ll say this. These things come natural to people, if your unsure of something, your unsure. People want a service they can trust, something I can provide right now and have been to my frequent vistors
JB - So when is the next tournament Massimiliano?
MP - Sunday 22nd, THIS Sunday. Registration is now open. The buy in is 1.1 million dollars. I cannot stress enough to those already expressing an interest, get the seats early and register now, I cannot ensure seats for all. 11:59PM or for those flying over from the UK - 9PM
JB - Do you think this is affecting other gaming sectors?
MP - Ill not lie, I want it to. But I don’t think people will stop going to the races, I think they may give up on black jack and the lottery just isn’t as frequent as I would like. If I owned the lottery, I would have a lottery every two days.
JB – That’s interesting enough, how about horses? Do you own any?
MP - No.
JB - Alright thanks for your time
MP - Thank you
The Racing Industry Back On It’s Feet?
Throughout history many forms of Government recommendations and legislation has been plaguing the racing industry. From what feels like years, the powers that be finally lifted the ban on $2,500 trifecta maximum bets and went to an agree $5,000 maximum bet for punters. Gaming gets the inside story with an industry spokesperson
Game - Why was there a ban in the first place?
IndustrySpokesman - For too long many citizens of this great country had been brought to it’s knees by criminal speculation in the industry. Gambling and betting experts from the mafia had been running schools to educate and encourage betting for profits. More money for the mob means more money to fund illegal enterprises and turf wars. We simply had to lower their income ability from the Industry. There was a lot of Government pressure to do so, it was not a popular move. A day at the races became less common for many. Racing figures suggest that across the board that attendance to the tracks were down by almost 60%.
G - Despite criminal associations in the industry do you agree that winning became harder? That races could almost appear to be fixed?
IS - No. Track conditions and a horses’ races won etc have always been a key indicator to lucrative gamblers, most even consider temperature as a factor for placing their win, show and place.
G- Has the current trifecta limit allowed the sector to get back on it’s feet?
IS - Absolutely, there is a higher margin of turnover for gamblers and horse investors, stable owners and jockies.
G- What about the mob connections in the industry? Is the mob still not a big problem?
IS - We will always have some sort of control out mechanisms to limit hoodlums access to our industry, we can prevent the average civilian from spending time at the tracks.
G - Clearly not answering my question, is there a problem with the mafia in the racing industry?
IS - We need to focus on our clientele, we need to prevent racing profits falling into the hands of the wrong people in large amounts. An impossible task some may say, it all depends on the Government and how they set up their watch dogs. Anyone can head to the tracks.
G - The biggest question of all is why change the limit and not tell anyone?
IP - Perhaps one of the best and cheapest marketing/advertising ploys is word of mouth. You would be surprised at how many people attempted to make 10,000 dollar trifecta bets with the previous limit

Slot Profits Indicate Slump
After the mafia connection to slot ownership and the scandal that surrounded the gaming watch dogs, the sector has reformed itself with a squeaky clean image under the umbrella of the Community Grant Fund. Once it was announced that ownership of the slot machines had ‘changed hands’ a surprising level of interest developed in the sector. Where is the CGF now Gaming asks? What is happening to all the money cycled into the casinos around the nation? No one knows. What is known is the dramatic fall in machine usage throughout the nation. Old fears that the sector may be funding a criminal underworld are once again rife. Game advises you just don’t play them. Who knows where your money goes. Who actually wins anyway? Sure not your cash clip. Will the nation ever see a CGF again? Maybe in the hands of a distinguished group.
BlackJack In Prison? Better Than Being Out?
It is well known that black jack became the number one prison game since it’s popularity soared when it was introduced. Keeping the stakes as low as $10,000 per hand allows in mates to play without fear or concern for the Gaming Act 1924 which makes gaming in prison illegal . Game reports it’s still as popular today as ever, more so that outside the four walls of a few in mates cells. Are you chances of winning greater in a different jail than another? Can you really have a lucky streak in jail and know when one is coming? Many a card counter and gambling enthusiast swear your odds of winning in jail are better. Gaming suggests it as a possibility.
Police Raid Wonka Construction Yard
After months of campaigning, William J Wonka or Willy Wonka announced the building of numerous sites for his popular Wonka products. ‘Retail outlets are being build in every major city’, a spokesman for Wonka said. It was unclear of the nature of the strange man and his very public appearances. Little was known about the life of the chocolate maker until Game got the scoop. At approximately 1.20am on Monday morning, police raided the Wonka Construction site in DownTown Miami to reveal four naked oompa loompas playing strip poker with Wonka himself. Police immediately took Wonka into custody. He confessed to cheating on many accounts and revealed he had been taught to play poker at ‘The Back Rooms’ by a man named only as Smoking Barrels. Barrels has yet to be questioned. We await more info on the story but can say that while poker at a licensed venue is legal, strip poker at Wonka’s should be morally illegal.
