THE FALL OF NEW YORK: CONCEPTUALISTS DEFEATED ON HOME TURF
By Morrissey
The rise of the Conceptualists was brought to an abrupt end this week, when war broke out with Detroit crime family, The Black Bottom Crew. After the bloodbath with The Miami All Stars and the death of its Consigliere Faustino, tensions between New York and Detroit seemed to grow by the day. The pinnacle of these tensions over boiled and exploded in dramatic style when Detroit took in former All Stars Made Man, Mike Collins. Boss of the BBC, Misty Meanor, appeared to trust Collins whole heartedly bestowing upon him the prestigious rank of Capo almost instantly. However, Collins was not the man of honour that he appeared to be, leading an attack upon New York only hours after a party in Detroit had been laid on for him by BBC Boss and co-leader, Bruinsma Jr. A party that certainly caused more than a hangover for all parties involved.
Collin’s wasted no time in causing confrontation once he arrived in New York, maybe it was a revengeful attack for the death of his former leader Faustino, whom he seemed faithful to till the end. The attack was not the best thought out plan, as he was shot on a bungled attempt at kidnapping New York Boss, Pineapple Express. The results were fatal, leaving New York on the warpath and contemplating revenge themselves.
Bruinsma, fresh from the festivities, found himself confronted as darkness fell on an eerie night in Detroit. A full moon shone down as New York Capo Grave, went head to head with the Detroit Boss. Several bodyguards laid down their own lives as Grave wounded Bruinsma with a gut shot wound. The wound left Bruinsma with nothing else left to do but fight it out to the death. As the clouds drifted past the moon, Bruinsma’s lifeless body fell to the floor with Grave’s shadow standing over him.
News travelled fast that Bruinsma lay dead and that Detroit was under siege, as only minutes later Detroit Capo, Misterio arrived at the scene. Misterio immediately turned his gun on Grave and a fight ensued between the two Capo’s. Grave’s shot’s found the target, but Misterio did not miss either, both men were left dying in their own puddles of blood on the street. Enter Ichi.
New York’s assault was not over yet with Conceptualist Capo and Faustino’s killer, Ichi, arriving on the street to carry on the fight. By this time, BBC Capo Big Black, had heard the gunshots and come running to aid his fallen brothers. With bodyguards in tow, bullets lit up the Detroit night sky as a gunfight commenced. Ichi did not enjoy the same success he’d had against Miami and was left gurgling blood as Black found the bullets to finish the job.
Detroit did not waste no time in sending the troops into New York for all out war, with Big Black leading the attack. Detroit Capo Ganesh and Made Man Apple also joined Big Black in the BBC’s assault on New York. They acquired a headquarters right in the very heart of New York and proceeded to take out all the members of the Conceptualists, mercy was not spared. Morning came with Detroit still in the belly of New York, with only one high ranked Conceptualist remaining, Pineapple Express.
New York and the Conceptualist’s final stand came on the 15th November, with Conceptualist Boss Pineapple Express preparing to take on the uninvited guests who had set up shop on his turf. The battle was short, with Pineapple Express out numbered and out gunned. Once again Capo Big Black proved himself too much of a force as he downed Pineapple’s bodyguards and eventually the Boss himself.
Upon victory, Detroit withdrew its forces from New York and returned them home. It’s reported that Big Black, Ganesh and Apple returned to a hero’s welcome as the Conceptualist’s had been defeated on their home turf.
MIAMI MOURNS: DON CORTEZ CUT SHORT
By Paul Heaton
Former leader of the Miami All Stars, Emiliano Cortez was found dead this morning outside of his Miami home. He died from a single gunshot wound to the head.
After the war with New York and the death of the All Stars leader Faustino, Miami was a city left bare of its leaders. Palladino has not been seen since Faustino’s death and it is believed that Emiliano left for a sabbatical just before his leader met his untimely demise.
No eyewitness has come forward to point the finger at the gunman behind Don Emiliano Cortez’s murder, but rest assured, a man who achieved great things, who could’ve achieved even greater things, has been struck down.
LOS ANGELES SHOOT-OUT: UNEASE IN LA VOCE SILENZIOSA
By Nick McCabe
Las Vegas crime family, La Voce Silenziosa suffered a minor setback this week when one of its Wise Guys, Marco Castelletti, attacked and killed one of his own family members and fellow Wise Guy, Bastard Son.
The culprit, Marco Castelletti, was said to have been unhappy with the way that Don Ezio was conducting business and in which direction the family was heading. It’s reported that he’d had several conversations with other leading family members about Don Ezio’s acceptance of former ‘We The People’ Capo Bastard Son, airing his disapproval on the matter.
Bastard Son, who was working for his Made Man promotion under Don Ezio, was happily enjoying a drink in his favourite café in Los Angeles when Marco Castelletti entered. Castelletti wasted no time in flying into a rage and taking the law into his own hands. He drew his gun and shoot dead one of Bastard’s loyal bodyguards before words could be traded. Bastard was seen to shoot back immediately, killing one of Castelletti’s bodyguards but he could not dodge the ‘bullet of death’ that Castelletti replied with.
Don Ezio, upon hearing of the bloodshed, wasted no time himself in sanctioning the death of Marco Castelletti. He quickly dispatched one of his top marksman and up and coming Made Man, Carl Fogarty. It was a one sided shoot out with Castelletti out matched by the stealthy assassin. A further two bodyguards fell, before Carl Fogarty’s pistol laid the rogue dead on the Los Angeles street bringing the gunfight to an abrupt end.
Bastard Son’s funeral was not the peaceful and respectful event that any Mafioso deserves, with idle gossip and murmurs of unease among many of the other La Voce Silenziosa members and public, some agreeing with Marco Castelletti’s rogue attitude. This reporter is staying tuned to see if further ripples will be caused by Castelletti’s actions or whether Don Ezio can keep order in Las Vegas.
DENVER MYSTERY: THE DIRK STRUAN INCIDENT
By Morrissey
Mystery surrounds the death of Denver family head Dirk Struan, who was gunned down without reply in Denver only a day into his leadership.
Dirk Struan was reported to have held talks with Don Ezio over setting up Struans Est. 1820, in Denver only a day before his death. Don Ezio offered Dirk a safety haven in his own family but Dirk declined, and instead asked for authorisation in Denver, which he was given.
A masked assailant shot Dirk Struan in the back the following day, with no eyewitnesses on the scene to identify the killer. Fingers immediately pointed at Las Vegas Made Man, Gino, who was in Denver on business at the same time of Dirk’s death. Gino defiantly denies any involvement in the murder.
No one has confessed to the murder as of yet but it is only a matter of time before the real culprit is unmasked. The murder is reminiscent of that of former Las Vegas Goomba, Tony Grabbacoochie, who’s killer, is also still to be unmasked. It just might be that the two deaths are related in some sort of way. Don Ezio is said to be monitoring the situation.
MORRISSEY’S AFTERTHOUGHT
The community is currently sliced into two large and powerful crime families. Las Vegas is under the control of Don Ezio and his family ‘La Voce Silenziosa’, while Detroit is still the home to the powerhouse of a family ‘The Black Bottom Crew’, currently being fronted by Boss Tanya Leigh. With the death of Don Emiliano Cortez only yesterday, the nation is looking towards Don Ezio as the man closest to bringing all the cities together and becoming the celebrated rank of Godfather. Chicago is also seeing a renaissance period with Almeida setting up his own small family, Famiglia D'onoro, although only time will tell if he has the strength and the backing to make Chicago a success.
The game of Mafioso chess continues, with pawns being sacrificed daily, the question is, will someone score a checkmate or will someone throw the board into the air and scatter the pieces of peace thus sending shockwaves throughout the realms of normality as we know it…
An ever loving,
Morrissey
