THE MAFIA GAZETTE

With the first editor’s resignation, the well known paper was passed along to a new editor. During the juggling of the paper, unfortunately, the news has failed to be printed in a timely manner. The good news in all of this is that many have stepped forward and presented papers of various worthiness for those of us missing our morning news. Support and acts of gratitude should be offered to those willing to put forth the time and effort to publish a paper.

THE WHITE LOTUS SOCIETY

A very ambitious individual has decided it’s time for changes to be made in Las Vegas. Shinobi stood on the street corner to proclaim his intentions to all who would listen. This writer listened very closely and am pleased to present all the details that were given on the windy day.

The sun was positioned in the sky to provide a most eerie hue over the street and sidewalk. Shinobi cleared his throat and began his speech, “Ladies and gentleman, I have come here today for a dual purpose. Firstly to state my intentions for Vegas and secondly to tell you that it is time for my family to change its name. A good friend of mine said recently it takes balls to make any family work, and that’s exactly what SCROT was all about: balls. But I believe my family has been made now, and whilst our balls must remain, it is time for a change. So, let me introduce you to ‘The White Lotus Society’. Many may not understand its significance or its origin, or indeed its relation to a previous family of mine in terms of origin; but that matters not. It is what it is, and we are what we are.”

There was a distinct grumbling among those listening to the speech, some even walking away shaking their heads. Without missing a beat, Shinobi continued with his words of information, “Next to move on to the more important matter of Vegas itself... my intentions are simple and the same as my father. They are to make Vegas a safe, random free zone. Now there are two sides to that coin. Firstly, it is to police my own family and make sure they act as I would wish: with respect to the city, the family name, and anyone who cares to take a stroll through its fair streets. Secondly, it is to police the streets, if we see a mugger out for cheap thrills he be a dead man. Same goes, and doubly so, for anyone firing their gun off without due care and attention. We aim to tidy up the business district and make it a professional fun filled zone. And finally if anyone wishes to set up in Vegas, for whatever reason, they must speak to myself or Leo_Francis. If they fail to do this, well, all I’ll say is that it could be fatal...”

This writer has seen many of these individuals come and go. Many choose to express their opinions and plans before speaking to those already in charge of the various Families and Businesses, this can prove most dangerous and possibly deadly.

SOMETIMES THE BULLET IS HEARD

As the people of this world of ours moves from day to day, there seems to be a subject which is rarely discussed. That subject matter is whether or not the bullet that kills or maims is actually heard by the victim. Of course the loud, echoing bang rings through the streets, but it seems those who are the targets appear to turn a deaf ear or are hit so quickly that within the speed it takes to bring the sound the person perishes or falls into an unconscious state. Many papers and books have been written on this topic. During the wars, this quizzical discussion is often raised, especially when those only wounded claim they never heard the shot fired.

LASTEST TRADING

As of late, it appears that the trading of arms and ammunition has taken on a life of its own. It’s true that one needs both to pull of some of the greater crimes, but what about the prices? Does the prices rise when the items are obtained by a broker rather that from the official dealers?

At the time of this writing, there are so many traders that even the youngest of thugs are able to get their hands on dangerous weaponry without the experience or knowledge of what damage can occur or what consequences will have to be faced. The writer raises the question of who should have the right to place weapons into the hands of children?
