In the last few weeks several newspaper presses around the nation tendered a bid in hopes for becoming the next editor of the national paper. Newspaper from all over the nation wrote their first articles on a national level, the papers went out to a public vote
During this time several members of the community voiced there concerns about such a vote, however an independent vote management team was brought in to invest age and concluded that all was in order and vote could continue.
After a week of the nation flooding into the polling polls offices in each city to cast their votes in a tight run race, we at the Mafia Standard are proud to confirm in the last few hours we have received the call to confirm our success in obtaining a written document given us permission to print for the nation,
In a press statement to the nation the editor of the Mafia Standard was quoted to have said.
“We are very proud to have achieved the tender of becoming one of the national paper for the United States of America, We pride ourselves on printing the nations new paper and will endeavor to bring you the news daily, however due to the extent of the expansion and new printing press required to our new location in down town Dallas we may only time to release three or four issues per week, until such a time when the engineers have installed our new equipment.
We have chosen Dallas as this great city gives our writers direct transportation access to each of our great city nationwide, so we can endeavor to be on site as the breaking news comes in “
“I would also like to thank the nation for your votes and to those who didn’t vote or voted for another paper we hope to win you around in the distance future”
The editor has confirmed that the presses will go into operation in full from Monday morning.
We at the Standard look forward to working other editors around the US.
Protection: - The national’s bodyguard unions speak out
Much speculation and concerns were raised in the community over the past week regarding the refusal to work of many bodyguard from each city, it has been reported that such reasons could be they were distressed and appalled with there working conditions due to the high level of muggers in the community at large, Their just not paid enough to deal with such matters, another source reported that possible this could be connected to lower ranks trying to enlist there service.
However we have uncovered the real truth behind the strike.
We spoke directly over the phone to union leader Mr. Fredrick Roberson of the Chicago division.
Reporter “Mr. Robertson, good afternoon and thank you for taken the time to speak with us today”
Robertson “Your welcome, we need the nation to understand why we are striking to achieve our goals and hopefully return our members back to work”
Reporter “I see can you tell us why this strike was considered imperative”
Robertson “Many reasons were considered and discussed at our meeting, a general feeling of unhappiness with he level of protection we were asked to offer, of course was a concern, as I’m sure your aware were a professional outfit we aren’t just hit men for hire against low life scum”
Reporter: - I see, so this was the main thinking behind the strike?”
Robertson: - Well this was a concern, however we understand this is apart of our daily route and working environment, however the reason for the strike is solely based on the basic package client’s offer.”
Reporter: - Basic package? Can you explain some more on this?
Robertson: - Yes certainly, Over the last six month people seem to have just disappeared and many of our members found themselves on the bread line, unable to complete basic task of other employment, The union itself paid out more than 3 million in emergency salaries to bail our members and ensure when business came in again we would have the men available for hire.
Reporter: - I understand, whoever are you not just biting the hand that feeds you, now business is thriving?
Robertson: - No were not looking to punish anyone mainly of our clients remain behind us, it’s just to make people aware of our problems, furthermore people are always complaining about of basic wage, I ask you how much is your life worth to you? There are ways to pay bodyguards a bonus, but this doesn’t often happen, we need basic bonus scheme and sick pay as apart of our packages negotiations are still on the table at present.
Reporter: - Thank you for your time sir, we assure you the public hear of your plight.
It would seem we have much to learn from these strikes and perhaps in time the Bodyguards will return to work, it would seem clear that an all-round better environment and security is needed to resolve these matters.
EDITORIAL: - Our Issue is short this week due to the lack of printing ink at the old premises and our timeframe on this occasion to get the press printed, I hope you have enjoyed the limited press
