A POINTLESS DEATH
The fine cities of Atlanta and New York are in mourning this weekend, following the loss of a Capo from each city.
The deaths of first Claudio Costanza, and then his killer Death Toll, have sent shockwaves through the underworld, as people question the desperation of what occurred.
The two men, close friends for some time, had been out drinking. Each were involved in the heavily publicised “Race For Boss”, and The Tribune understands that they had become disillusioned with the seemingly unachievable rank.
Fuelled by alcohol, they decided to enter into a consenting gun fight in New York. This did not last long and Claudio lay dead. Onlookers stood open mouthed as one of the nations most reliable Capo’s a former stalwart of Portia’s Meggio Mob, and current member of the Franchetti Family lay dead after what was essentially just a drunken game of dare.
24 hours later Death Toll would be killed by Franchetti leader Aldo DePalma, after a short fight, bringing the matter to an end.
The Tribune would like to send its condolences to the families of the two men who lost their lives in this sad and avoidable incident.
A SMOKE-ING GUN
Detroit Capo, and leader of the Priesthood family, Mr Smoke, was killed yesterday as his own gun exploded on him in his home city of Detroit.
The Tribune has not been able to track down who Mr Smoke was shooting at when the gun exploded, however the tragedy has wreaked havoc on the Detroit crime world.
So shortly after losing Capo Paola, and with some controversy in the streets surrounding the Detroit policies, the loss of their leader will surely come as a massive blow to the Priesthood.
One of the oldest families in existence, the mantle has now been taken up by Tony Romano, closely assisted by Paulo Dinardo a man whose Ancestors founded the family.
The Tribune has written too many stories on great men being taken out in this horrible way. Mr Smoke was a gentleman, who worked tirelessly for his family. He will be greatly missed from the East Coast to the West Coast, and we hope to see his family return to these shores sometime soon.
TIPSTER COMP PRODUCES DUAL CHAMPS!
Leon Gants highly successful Champion Tipster competition reached a dramatic conclusion on Friday evening, as the final race failed to separate the leaders, and now winners, Mr Valentine and Richard Richard.
The competition was extremely closely fought, with up to 10 particpants still being able to win coming into the final round. However, with an extremely unpredictable race, no one managed to predict the winner, so the leaders going into the final round also led out of it.
The whole tournament saw some unpredictable results, with no one managing to predict 2 tri-fectas correctly.
The final table was as follows:
1. MrValentine …. 9pts
1. Richard_Richard ….9pts
3. Tyler_Morgan ….8pts
4. Arnold_Rothstein ….7pts
4. Death_Toll ….7pts
6. Actor Brando ….6pts
6. Frank_Stallone ….6pts
8. Akira ….5pts

The victors each took home 300k in prize money, and a lovely shiny medal, which The Tribune understands Mr. Valentine has put next to his medal from the first Tipster Comp.
Better luck next time everybody! Which should be next month, and there is a rumour that there may be some Community Grant funding to make the end prize a little more appealing to the masses!
BLACK HAND POKER HITS THE US!
Aphex, CEO of The Community Grant Foundation has announced the biggest poker in Underworld history, which is expected to attract high rollers from across the nation.
The tournament will be held in Atlanta, home of the Mafia Poker tournaments, at the Maven’s Casino. A Date and Time is as yet unannounced but this information is expected following the return of Aphex from a brief break.
The game will be Texas Hold ‘Em played out as a “last man standing” tournament, with qualifying rounds to produce a grand final. Buy in for the comp is $500k, with all entry money being put into the prize pot, as well as an additional $10 Million, yes that’s right TEN MILLION DOLLARS, from The Community Grant Foundation itself.
Industry experts have predicted that the eventual winner could walk away with in excess of $20 million dollars, a sizeable sum by anyone’s standards.
The Tribune will leave it to Aphex himself to set the scene…
“What could you do with 15 million or more?! We are talking serious money here people. Not some crappy little game in a back-street dive in Vegas. We are talking about the biggest game in our history, the biggest single win in history, and the biggest competition we have ever had. The question is; do you want in? Have you got the stones to sit with the best of them and take home the greatest legal heist ever made?”
Well, do you?
The Tribune will see you there...
